Dr. Ramirez
Since I was a kid I have been a big fan of animals. I have owned many different species of animals (turtles, guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, pigs, cows, goats, dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, rats, snakes, lizards, hermit crabs, regular crabs, birds and others).
After high school I joined the United States Air Force and became a jet engine mechanic. Completing my four years of service, I left the military and took my GI Bill to the University of Florida, when I received my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. I moved to the Brandon area, and have lived and worked here ever since.
I love being a vet. I now get to play with dogs and cats all day, and I don’t have to pick up any poop. Much of my spare time is spent on mechanical stuff like working on my car or remote control vehicles (I have cars, boats, planes, helicopters and tanks). Outdoors is also a passion. My adventures include bird watching, walking trails, kayaking, white water rafting, skydiving, scuba diving, biking, etc.
I am very handy with computers, and love to build them. My newest passion is photography. I love going on the hunt for that once in a lifetime picture that when you show people, their response is “You took that?”
If I have to sum up my life I would say I am a happy guy that likes to fix thing (planes, cars, computers, dogs and cats).
